Hankook RS-3s FTW for me I'll be at VIR 26th-27th I'll let ya know how they hold up.

That'd be my first choice if I was after a street tire with ultimate grip. The Street Touring autocross guys seem to be convinced that the Hankooks (and the Toyo R1Rs) are the hot tire of the moment.

star specs are excellent
i'd even recommend the DZ101 as a cheaper alternative.

Another for Star Specs. Great value, awesome performance, and aren't as noisy as the KDW2's

Really depends on your budget and what you mean by track time vs normal driving. Also, here are some extra punctuation marks I have laying around. Feel free to use them; they might help with future posts:

I know I keep preaching them but...Star Specs are SO good!! They're getting a little more exp than they used to be but, as far as price/performance they are def in the top 3 imo.

I'm on my second set of them now, and I still can't believe how well they do in the wet.

I really like my Star Specs so far... I would say 2k miles.... not on the track though. I mean, I do not track my car though... so spirited driving... they are very good tires...

Wet is definitely something to consider with the weather how it's been lately.

i was able to go wot in 2nd and through 3rd with star specs in a heavy downpour. That speaks for their wet traction.

Where as with my BFG G-Force if the pavement is even a little wet it meant it'd have to watch out because i'd spin the tires with ease.

I hear good things about them, good value too.

I ran the KDWs and loved them. They were easy to live with on a day-to-day and also did well in the mountains with some heat in them. I also like the GSD3s too. Good tires but cost was high. Read the reviews at TireRack.com to help you pick the right tire for a good price.

FYI, Discount tire will price match TireRacks price if you want to get them local.
Bump for the Dunlap Derezza Star Specs. Respectable wet and cold weather performance too.
