Title Transfer in NC
Hey guys,
For those that have bought or sold cars recently, do you remember if you need the Odometer Disclosure Statement apart from the title itself.
It's listed here:
http://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/vehicle/title/transfer/
But I swear I don't remember ever taking one. I feel like I usually only bring my title and insurance card.
Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks for the help guys. I just sold my mom's car yesterday. She drove up here to sign the title and we forgot to fill out an OD (2008 vehicle). Then that night the buyer starts texting and freaking out that she needs to drive back up tomorrow so he can drive it this weekend.
I'm seeing her this weekend so I think the guy is just going to have to wait until Monday to get a plate.

I've bought all my cars from out of state so I guess I've avoided having to do all this crap. Is it not something that she can sign and fax to him? Looking at the form I would just tell her to fill out her parts, sign it, then fax it to the buyer. Then he can fill out his parts, sign it, and take it to the DMV. It doesn't require a notary so that should be just fine.
