Default the trade

well as some of you know a year ago I traded a 02 white s2000 for a 2013 civic si coupe. love the civic. great quick little car with awesome gas mileage. today I ran across a deal that has cause me a problem. found a 2001 s2000 silver one owner(60 year old man) who owned it since new. incredibly clean with only 29k on the clock. completely stock. for 15,500! thinking of trading tomorrow. question is to everyone is would you trade a 2013 civic coupe si for a 01 s2000 that's like new! well would you? comes with rag top cover, car cover, window shades. clean car fax. what do ya'll think?

That seems like a no brainer to me. Go for it.

Normally I would say yes BUT your situation is a little different. You already have an S, do you REALLY need another one?? or is a good/fun DD like the Si more of what you need?

Just playing Devil's advocate.....

well the one i have is got alot of time, money invested in it. and has 233k on the clock. so its not my dd. the civic is really nice ,but not a big fwd fan. besides i would be a dumb ass for letting this go by. i've always wanted a second s. this one will remain stock. the best of both worlds. one extremely modded and one completely stock.

well how funny things slide sideways! was approved for the loan but I would have to put 2200 down which is what I had left from selling the civic. not what I had planned on so this deal is sailing away. would love to have it but I don't want to have to put money out of my pocket. bank said trade in value at what they would loan on this old a car is 10225. I talk to the car lot and he was going to work something out to get me in it and call me back. no call so i'm writing this one off. if there is someone who is got the cash, this would be one hell of a great buy. I mean this is the cleanest s2000 I've seen for sale at a more than fair price. oh well at least I don't have a car payment anymore!
