Default Triangle Audio/Security Installer in the house!

Hey, what's up guys? I am Kenneth and I am a professional car audio installer. I have a Kraftwerks Supercharged S2000 with a Shine Hardtop, putting down over 360whp with a wicked audio system.

I specialize in custom audio and security in S2000s and I offer my services to anyone who has a special place in their heart for sound and security in their ride. Especially Honda's. I used to be the Car Audio Installation Supervisor at Circuit City, but now that boat has sunk so I'll be offering installation services on the go and travel to you for basic installs anywhere in the Triangle area.

I have also done lots of installs out of my home for friends with S2000s at great prices. I am experianced in supercharger, coilover, hardtop, header, exhaust, big brake kits, wings, HID kits, headlight/tailight converisions, flawless brake painting, fender rolling, interior swaps, and more. Just hit me up if there is anything you need.

Here we have PinkBunny's fresh Civic Hatch, he drove all the way from Charlotte to Raleigh to install the 5-speed compatible Viper 5701. Check it out!

Here is a custom speaker installation I did in my girlfriend's 300zx. We replaced the 20 year old Bose 4" speakers with rock'n 6.5" Kicker RS component speakers. A custom touch of Dynamat and a custom plate helps shape the sound and replaces the gigantic Bose enclosure.

I'd love your guys' feedback! Also, if you guys have any car meets here in the Raleigh/Cary area I'd love to check it out.

I'm actually looking for someone to do a alarm system and LED taillight conversion for me.

Kenneth, I have a question. When I bought my S2000, the previous owner took the alarm system out, but left a lot of the wiring in. How hard is it to completely remove all of this? It's bugging the crap out of me.

OK Kenneth, since you're here, I've got a question as well.

I have the stock stereo in my 2004 S2000. I'm not a huge in-car music listener, so really, it's fine. What I'd like to be able to do is listen to the music on my iPhone 3G in my car.

I've looked at some options that claim to offer the ability to use an iPod with the factory stereo, but I haven't found much that will specifically let me use my iPhone 3G. What are my options, or are there any?

FM Modulator devices, from my experience with XM sat. radio, aren't very satisfying. Take a road trip and all of a sudden you're spending more time searching for a "blank" FM station than you're spending listening to music. I'd be happy to be proven wrong on this opinion though.

I'm familiar with the Modifry DCI and things like the Alpine x100 digital media receiver, but I'm trying to avoid spending several hundred dollars here.

Thanks!

Genius, Thats great man! I actually have a pulsed LED 3rd brake light on my S2k so it really grabs tailgater's attention. I should be able to do an alarm in an s2k pretty quickly. Just let me know when your available and we can set something up.

ckim715, its not too hard depending on how they originally installed it. Shouldnt take much time at all. I am pretty anal about my installs so i could probably make your car's wiring look like new again.

krshultz, it looks like an AUX input would be the best option for you. That way you can keep all your dash controls etc. Honestly though the OEM headunit sucks in sound quality, so i would ultimately recommend a cheap headunit with an AUX since it will really wake up the oem speakers. If your dead set on keeping the oem AXXCESS makes a cheap aux input which is compatible with the oem radio.

Karl,

Kenneth hooked me up with a relatively inexpensive Pioneer head-end which has iPhone 3G compatibility. I also added a Modifry DCI myself.
Unbelievable how much better the stock speakers sound....

Kenneth, one of these days, I do need to get my XM working - I know I've been a slug about it - but I'd like you to do it for me.

So you decided not to go with the Alpine? I LOOOOVVEEE mine and it works fine with my 3G. Hands down the BEST head unit I have ever had. I have a friend at work who bought a broken 120GB iPod and is fixing it for me. Thats about to be my new music keg in my car.

I will vouch for Kenneth. I've done all the work to my car myself, but he is a great guy and truly knows his stuff. Have purchased bolt-ons from him in the past and was a great transaction.

I haven't decided against it completely, just wondering if there was a less expensive way to skin this cat. I mostly listen to podcasts and public radio stuff, so spending hundreds of dollars (between the head unit and the modifry thing) to facilitate that is a tough pill to swallow.

If I do the headunit replacement route though, it's definitely going to be an Alpine like yours. Having suffered through a cheap Sony in the CRX, I want something that works properly with an iPhone. The cheap Sony is a misery to try and get to work with the iPhone.

I can vouch for Ken. As most of you know that I'm pretty particular about my S.

He did a Viper 5901 alarm with remote start and proximity sensor install on my S. I'm very happy with install and the alarm. All the wirings were soldered and tuck away nicely.

No problem with the alarm since the day one.
