Default Trouble with Coastal Metals?

I know only a few of you guys have the front lip protector from Coastal Metals but i was wondering if anybody has had trouble getting delivery from them (on any item).

I ordered the front OEM protector on April26 and still have not received it.
I inquired last week and David McCUne replied that they had them ready to ship
and he would email me the tracking number last Friday.

It has been a week since: no protector and no tracking number.

Any similar experiences with Coastal Metals?
I am from the X generation, am I acting to much like the Y generation? (Me,Me,Me,RIGHT
NOW!!) :-)

I also placed an order with them late last year, and had very quick delivery. I am sure you will get it sooner or later, although I understand your frusteration

I've ordered twice. First was around the first of the year, a bumper protector and front grills. I received the package in about 3 days. Then, I placed an order for some of the clothing that they're trying to clear out. I placed that order on April 14 and received the package on May 12th.

I don't mind that much how long it has taken. Heck, I waited 4 and a half months for my Insight, three and a half for the S2000 and I had my pool table stashed under my desk and behind the door at work for 2 months while the house was being built. So you can see I am a patient man.

What I do mind is them telling me that they would send me the tracking number "tomorrow" and a week later I haven't heard from them... It is not like email takes that long...

I deal with angry customers all the time (the price of being a VP is that you have to deal with the really tough situations) and if I say "Will send you the tracking number tomorrow" by golly you will get it tomorrow...

Matter of fact, I am heading to work now (midnight on Friday) to deal with one of those situations. We have a customer whose upgrade was supposed to be finished 8am TH. Me and three other guys have not gotten more than 3 hours a night since Wed. I have been in contact with the customer every 2 hours (except at night) the whole time. So it really upsets me that I was told "tomorrow" a week ago and no contact since.

Ok.... I am getting worked up ... better count to ten before I go to work... don't want to take it out on the underlings....

I don'r have any new info, but I think they might be doing a revision on the OEM Front Spoiler Protector. There is some info in the following thread:

-Pete

EDIT: They have been good to me. So far, they have sent me 2 Spoiler Protectors, and may be working on another.

C'mon guys. . .pick up a phone and give them a call.

Call Toll Free 1-866-575-4085

Dave McCune and company have been extremely kind to this community. Give them another call and check up on the order.

BTW, I've ordered several items from Coastal Metals and the delivery time has been excellent.

Airgate,

Funny you should say that... it is the same thing I tell the guys at work all the time.... :-)

I guess I am looking it strictly from the sales support perspective. I am the customer and I have already complained once... In my business that is enough to get the vendor to kick into action (BTW I emailed David again today).

I will call the first chance I get next week (that is unless they answer when I call tomorrow).

Maybe I really am morphing into a Y genner... if it is not done via the internet then it can't be done! ;-)
