Default turbo frustrations

Well once again i run into issues with my build, i've been working on it for a good 4 months almost and NOTHING seems to have gone right, at this point i'm basically bleeding money and i'm living paycheck to paycheck which sucks, so i'm seriously considering just selling my turbo setup and cutting my losses and just go n/a.....anyone been in the same situation? haha

What kind of problems are you having? If your in the greenville area hit me up. I'm sure i can help you sort it out. Inline pro stuff definately falls under the tuner kit catagory, but it shouldn' t be that difficult to get it working farely reliably.

well i brought it to get tuned on tuesday thinking everything was finally ok but i was wrong, 2 blown coil packs and its just the clip part i'm not entirley sure if the whole coil pack itself has gone bad, oil lines are wrong and when i say wrong its just like kinks in the lines or improperly installed and are now fraying , possible boost or vacuum leak as the motor was having trouble holding boost as it got into higher rpms and my boost controller was also not working properly, if somehow i can afford to bring it back, i'm gonna end up having my tuner integrate my tru boost with my aem ems v2 and also fabbing something to properly fasten the ecu in place almost where the stock one sits, then on top of that its going to be another 2-3 hours of tuning so i'm looking at a ballpark estimate of another grand just to get everything working properly...with that being said i don't really have that kind of money and even when i do its still shitty because like i said i'm literally living paycheck to paycheck so i kind of put myself in a hole haha

Wow, no wonder you want to go back stock. Well my friend i'm sorry for your bad experience with boost. It is certainly not a cheap road to go down, and unless you can afford one of the top tier kits like ptuning your gonna have lots of issues to work through. When you don't have the tools or skills to do this stuff yourself, I'm sure the costs are astronomical. All this headache has probably taken all the fun out of the car as well. Maybe its not a bad idea to sell your stuff, recoup some funds, and wait till your in a better place financially. Good luck with whatever you decide.

if i can somehow get back to stock i'm hoping i can get like 4-5k for my turbo set up, that way i'll atleast have a decent amount for some decent n/a upgrades and maybe some other things (body work, paint, etc) I really don't want to abandon going turbo but i just feel like i'll never be able to get it running properley without further putting myself in debt haha, i SERIOIUSLY underestimated this project and i really wish i had researched a little bit more, or even gone the supercharger route, but oh well lesson learned haha

Agreed. Going FI costs more than you ever bargain for. If you want longevity and do all the other supporting mods it costs A LOT more. For people that go FI, i like to remind them that some nice aeroquip hose and fittings costs $100. Then come the fun little add ons, like an upgraded radiator, oil cooler, meth injection, intake manifold. It's not the first purchase of the turbo or s/c that costs you, its all the little crap that you add on.

Boost ain't cheap! And I agree with everyone when they say the little stuff adds up... I just planned on 2k of that crap happening when I did my budgeting.

But when done right, it sure is fun!
