Well, the last thing I need is to head-on someone at a combined speed of 70 mph on the side of a mountain because they other guy is in my lane - I've seen it happen before and its not pretty. Its not that hard to follow the line without crossing, and if I did it, I'd want to be called out so I could change my behavior.
In the two photos taken with dres2kil, it looks to me like he had a clear view of what was ahead and was not going into a blind corner. It's hard to tell in the first pic if it's a blind corner or not.

Anyways, I've been on a group drive or two where people were hauling around blind corners at excessive speeds and wheather you're crossing the center line or keeping right doesn't make it any less dangerous IMO.

And for the record, I am NOT trying to start a big war or anything but if I wanted to "help" someone become a better driver, I'd send 'em a PM.....NOT start a thread. It's just not right.

I would like to make an apology as well. I did not realize that crossing over the yellow even with no on-coming traffic would get people mad. If so i would not have do it at all. It was a dragon rookie mistake.

I saw dedicate a whole forum section to line crossers, everyone who goes knows its wrong. Maybe NOT showing up in that section will motivate them enough to stay in their lane, apparently death isn't a big enough deal..

As I have always said

ARRGG YE BE WARNED!!!

"LINE CROSSING IS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH!!!"

Not trying to start anything, but I am pretty sure that just about everyone there was not driving "necessary" and "acceptable". Starting a thread with pictures and scolding is IMO unnecessary. Kind of a "holier than thou" attitude if you ask me......which I know you didn't but that's what it feels like to me. And not trying to get religious or anything either, but, I guess he who is without sin just cast the first stone.
Jason was pointing out drivers from the CAROLINAS that did this....somehow hits home?

He said this is 100% totally UNacceptable and UNnecessary. nowhere did he say that driving 70 in a 25 on a mountain road, while in your own lane, WAS acceptable.

NO EXCUSE why people cross the line, on such a road, that has killed many. The mere fact that someone would frequent these boards, read a dragon thread, sign up, go there, hear the words of wisdom of not crossing the yellow line, and still think "it looked clear and I thought it was OK" is never OK!

saying sorry and not doing it again is OK!

P.S....and I AM holier than thou...I've been to the dragon and I made a conscious decision NOT to cross the yellow line, even when when I could see 3 or 4 turns up ahead.
