Default Update from a local guy who never posts...

I never have much to contribute to this awesome site...but I thought I'd post SOMETHING on here after all these years of taking in information

Just got meself scheduled for Monday to get a 1.5" UK Exhaust Mod on my 2005 S2000...

This is all part of revitalizing my poor, neglected car that I bought used and abused in 2012 haha

K&N FIPK installed around the same time I got my top installed...speaking of...

Shoutout to Toyo for getting a new top done perfectly back in November. He is awesome! Even drove out to my work site to show me how to break it in!

Next up is PAINT! Any recommendations on paint shops? I have heard amazing things about the CARY Maaco...I have heard from numerous people that they are actually different from other Maaco stores. So i was thinkin I will head over there..and yall can get a review from me later

Im also scheduled to go see Mr. Wadzii's shop in Wendell to get my clutch pedal smooth (tried numerous times to fix at home to no success), TCT sandblasted, and check out a knock sensor CEL that only pops up at WOT V-tec.

Random comments/questions:
I also have a 2014 Ram Laramie 5.7L Hemi 4x4
I love the Hankook V12 tires on my s2000
What color should I paint my s2000? The girlfriend forbids white...hahaha but my truck is white!

I look forward to being a lot more active on this forum!

Have a good one,
JR

Welcome . as for the color, white is the hot one right now. If i was going white, the color I put on my FC was a Lexus white pearl. Really stood out.

Thanks for the warm welcomes

I personally think white is awesome as well...plus it'd be nice to have my big truck and s2000 both be white. Frostbite and snowflake...i had them both named in preparation for this before she shot it down...

Also...anyone want to confirm that the Cary Maaco is indeed different?

I don't know about Cary Maaco but many here have used Apex Auto Body with good results.

Don't be afraid to contribute. Most all of what has to be said has already been said. So just BS it's ok.

UK mod.....make sure you have a CAT otherwise it will not sound good.(I know first hand) Wish I knew that before I did it on mine. So I have a 2005 OEM exhaust prepped to go on the car shortly. Will see if it all fits.(my car is an '00)

Definitely let us know what shop you do use and how they did. Eventually I will need a front end re-spray.

Jason is a good guy and will get you straightened out. Color? I love the dark blue.....Montecarlo Blue I think it was. If I ever did a full color change that would likely be it.

Oh and I HATE my Hankook EVO V12 rubber. Horribly soft sidewalls in my opinion.....but that's my opinion.

Personally I'd stay away from Maaco, Peach, etc. The Cary location may be an exception, but the work I've seen come out of those places wouldn't be anything I'd want on one of my cars. They usually don't prep the car well, and it shows in the final product and affects long term quality.

I will definitely post pics of the paint when it gets done!

So I got this done today instead of the UK Exhaust Mod. Review to follow..
Essentially, it is a straight through, bypassing the loop and inserting the exhaust right through the muffler to the tip.

I went to Henry's Muffler on Millbrook road in Raleigh, NC. They charged $125 for it and got it done in 30min. I went there to put a glasspack in my Ram 1500 as well. They are good folks...their price this time was a bit high for some reason...but oh well.

Im happy for today..
