update to vtec not workin

If you have access to a Good scan tool you can monitor those sensors with out having to unhook/wire/take things apart.

Just take the vtec solenoid off on the passenger side of the engine, 3-10mm bolts and remove the screen and clean it with brake cleaner. Then reinstall it and see if it works, had to do it to mine but that wasn't the issue for me. I looked closer and my turbo melted the vtec solenoid wire...

Absolutely. I use a scanner too. I should have mentioned that. I was just thinking of around the house tricks to test it.

Eric is right too. It's not hard at all to pull it off. Just be very gentle and sort of peel the sensor off. The o-ring can tear if you yank it.

He brought us the car last friday.. sounds like its got some rocker arm issues. Electrically everything is working as it should.. It has a loud ass bang when we engage vtec!

Hey Jason thanks again for checking it out ?? Really nice shop and nice berlina black s2k... Haha nice color choice... Now I get why u said that . I'll be back up the next week or the week after... I'll call yea to make an appointment to get this vtec fixed .
