Here we go.. You can't really see them but there are ripples in the fender above the wheel. You can see where the lug nuts spiralled into the door.

 

Ouch!! I guess at least it didn't appear to have damaged those wheels...

What made the truck stop? Did he realize he was hitting some resistance? Or were you beeping the hell out of him?

Got a quote for the damages from the body shop, $2,200. Still waiting on the adjuster and my rental, baby!

Thanks, I am.. it just scared the crap out of me looking at the tire 6 inches from my face while it was going into my door... was NOT expecting that!

 

Maybe Honda should come up with an optional flag. The yellow kind that you see on bicycles and mopeds.

It would activate and raise as soon as you stop and could easily be seen by tall vehicle drivers.

I'm glad you are OK. I can't imagine staring at a tire that big coming at your face.
