what to do in charlotte?
So whats to do in charlotte next week? I have to be there all week for a training for my company. I have never been so it should be exciting... Well better than being at home in the rain!
You can always go downtown and hit the restaurants and bars. Check out area called the epicenter; several bars and attractions. Noda is a popular area as well. You can cruise up 85 north a ways and walk around Concord mills mall; its pretty big if you are into shopping (no homo). There is a karting place called victory lane karts that is pretty awesome, though kinda expensive.
a few charlotte staples..
restaurants: mama ricotta's (italian) on kings drive, the penguin (greasy spoon) on thomas street, cabo fish taco (...fish tacos) on north davidson, mac's (bar-b-q) on south blvd, cantina (mexican) and big daddy's (gourmet burgers) on east blvd, Lupie's (burgers, chili, southern food) on monroe road, the cajun queen (...cajun) on 7th street. also, walking around the uptown area will yield plenty of other options, and driving outward from the city center will yield even more.
bars: i'm not huge into the bar scene, so...grain of salt here. thomas street area is t street tavern and whisky warehouse, the north davidson has several cool spots, uptown/epicenter has a few worth checking out, south blvd/south tryon has a few like the gin mill, tyber creek pub...if you're anywhere near the university area, you must, must visit the flying saucer. several of us are usually there on tuesdays for trivia
have fun, pm if you have more questions
