What is an S2000?
Is it just me?
I went to get a rental car and the guy at the rental place asked what kind of car I normally drive. I told him "an S2000". He asked me who the manufacturer was and what kind of car was it.
Occasionally, I'll have a friend look at the S and ask "What kind of car is that!?"
I had a stranger pull up the other day and ask me how I liked my "Saturn". He really liked the car and was genuinely surprised when I told him it was a Honda so I'm 99% sure he was not pulling my leg.
Why is it that Honda does not advertise this car?
Personally, I don't mind this confusion at all. It doesn't bother me either way and I like that the car is unique. Mostly I am just curious what you guys think...

I get that too. A real bubble head pulled up beside me in his Z28 and asked what I was driving. I replied that it is a new production that is called Hondararri. Part Japanese an part Italian. He pulled off scratching his heead and leaving lots of rubber.
Yeah, I get that alot also. People will ask, What kinda car is that? Who makes it? Since I have the Rick's S badge, it confuses them even more.
But that is what I like about the S, not a lot of people drive it.

Yeah I get that "what kinda car is that?" too...
You know its funny to me, like most of us on here Im pretty big into cars of all makes and models, and I can probably name the model if a Ferrari or Lambo or Porsche or some other exotic pulled up beside me without much studying...
Now I love our cars with a passion and wouldnt get rid of it for anything, but in the grand scheme of things the S2000 is from a world renowned, mass production auto maker and it amazes me that tons of folks still havent a clue about it...
Lucky us

They are also becoming more popular than a car that someone would have to ask about to even know the name. I go down the street and see s2000's all day and no more do I look and see if the driver is someone i know from this site because of the 50 times ive looked closely, i have never seen any of you out in the wild.
I get the same thing occasionaly at gas pumps or what not. Hey man, I like your what kind is it? I simply point to the big H symbol on it. THey seemed so amazed, that honda makes soemthing different than a Civic or an Accord
