I agree that age doesn't really reflect maturity. Most people grow more mature with age, but some never grow up at all. It's best to just ignore them or if they really want to race try to get them to go to a track day. I wish they had something like race legal some where near Columbia. When i was in San Diego they had drag races at Qualcom. It let most of the kids open up their cars and not put the rest of the people on the road at risk.
1/4th mile drag strip in darlington (45 mins from N/E Cola)
I thought of this thread while I was driving home from work. I'm going past Davis Dr. on I40 and can see a blue WRX merging onto the interstate. I could see the impossibly large exhaust from three lanes over. Sure enough, he went out of his way to get up next to me - in traffic, mind you - and rev his engine. I guess he wanted to show me how awesome his blowoff valve is. He did it another time about ten minutes later. I wasn't in the F250, so I didn't return the favor.

I too have noticed that as the value of our car lowers, more "less than" responsible drivers are acquiring them.
Perhaps you should have walked over and offered him some of your knowledge and wisdom.
