I think Honda should have let me do their destructive testing.

Thanks Lee. I've thought about a built diff, but I've come to grips with the fact that I'm to rough on them to last. I'm considering a non-honda diff and just building my own carriage to adapt it to the car. I'm just looking for any ol' used diff so I can rebuild this one. I've also mortally wounded my second drive shaft. Funny thing is, I don't launch the car.

 

FWIW, I understand the AP2 diff is tougher than the AP1.

 

if you manage to destroy a diff built by puddymod, hats off to you. PM him if you're looking for something strong

 

Thanks. I can build a diff though. I just need a good shell. My bearing cap is going south and I believe the casting has warped. This second one is an AP2 so no luck there. Oh well, this one had a whine straight out the gate, so I'm really not surprised.

 

Damage isn't as bad as i thought. I'll just rebuild this one. Thanks for the help everyone.
