but as a child my parents had a CHROME christmas tree (no sh!t!!!) with a lil' whirly-gig that shined a floodlight with a multi-colored filter back against the chrome tree. First its green, then its blue, then its red, then its [spa] yellow

I love those things. A friend of mine has a bunch of them. He finally found the ultimate one a few years ago where it was a 6 footer instead of a 3-4 footer that he usually finds. He buys them up at garage sales and flea markets. Now they are impossible to find and command good money now. I would get one but that is impossible to do with 6 cats attacking the tinsel!
It would probably be worse now that I have added two pups to the household.

I should get a farm now don't ya think?
