The best / shortest / fastest way to get to the zoo from Raleigh is taking 64 west. If you take 440 West to 64/1, we can meet at the MacGregor Village Shopping Center. Take Exit 98B from Rt. 64 W / Rt. 1 S and make a feft at the first ligt onto Edinburg S Drive. From there to the Zoo it's about 1:20. If we have to be @ the zoo by 12:30pm, we should not leave later than 10:45am. That will allow a fuel stop in Asheboro.
Anyone else?

NOTE:
Once you turn off of US-64...onto Zoo Parkway...watch your speed!!!
It starts as 35 mph...changes to 45 mph...then finally 55 mph. These sections are often patrolled...so watch your speedometers

As I passed the gas stations on 64, last night, I noticed the bags were off of the 93 pumps...so gas shouldn't be a problem.
I will double check tonight, and drive by all the stations where you could top off...before coming on down to the zoo.
Local forecasts indicate DRY...and temps from the mid to upper 70's...it should be a perfect TOP DOWN day 
!

Sheila, Raaaaul and I will be getting together to drive from Charlotte to the Zoo Run tomorrow.
We are going to meet at IHOP in the university area, 230 East WT Harris Blvd at 10:00am. We'll be eating a delicious breakfast before departing by 11:30am.
Anyone in the Charlotte area (cough, Nathan) is welcome to join us.
