I am selling my beloved S2000. I am the second owner and bought this car on S2KI in April of 2010 from Jae Kim formerly of GT Motoring in Illinois, which is a sponsor on S2KI. When I purchased the car it had 37,600 miles on it, it now has 44,985 miles. The car came with a fully built engine from Inline Pro with an Inline Pro Sleeved Block, Inline Pro Connecting Rods, CP Forged Pistons (CR 9.0:1) and also an Inline Pro Valvetrain with InlinePro Dual Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers. Car had only 3k miles on this build when I purchased it. Car was also making 450whp at 17psi when I purchased it. I’ve since had Jeff Evans build me a custom 3” cat-less exhaust system including downpipe along with a rewired Walbro and ID 1000cc injectors. I also had Billman install a Competition Stage 5 Clutch. I was able to reach 567whp at 21psi on only pump gas. The car is currently at 511whp at 13psi. You can’t believe how many compliments I’ve had on the sound of the exhaust. Good:
- Low Miles
- Oil changed every 1,500 miles with Amsoil SAE 10W-40 Synthetic High Performance Motor Oil
- Transmission fluid changed to Amsoil Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid
- Soft top is in excellent condition as the previous owner had a hardtop installed all the time and I had the car cover on it when it was parked.
Bad:
- There is an indentation in the soft top right by the passenger side window as shown in one of the pictures
- The cylinder is broken on the lock for the trunk so it can only be opened with the trunk release button inside the car
- Car only has one hood damper as the other one broke.
- There is a very slight exhaust rattle but only in the 2,500 - 2,900 RPM range. This is the downpipe making slight contact with the frame rail. This could be eliminated by removing the downpipe and putting a small dimple in it. The rattle didn't bother me enough to do that so I didn't bother. Below is a link to a video of a dyno session at Jeff Evans shop where you can see the downpipe.
Asking Price is $21,000 with everything listed above. If I can’t get very close to my asking price, I would be willing to part the wheels but that’s probably about it.
