Jim, by this time of year in Cali (correct me if I'm wrong, John & Sleepie) there isn't anything green and the hills look like dead lumps of brown hay. There is no fall to speak of coming soon. Of course, the upside is that you guys probably haven't had to put your tops up for months!
Here the leaves are starting to turn and things are pretty lush (as usual) except this has indeed been a drought year. Water supplies are low.
