How do you resize those damn things anyway?

 

although the "Shhh" avatar was badass!

 

I got sick of just the head..

 

I use LView Pro Editor. I have PhotoShop and all, but LView is so damn easy - I use it exclusively to make avatars.

The "crop" and "resize" functions are very simple and it keeps the picture quality rather well when you resize them.


You can download it at download.com . I think it's only a 21-day trial thingy but all it is is a banner thing that pops up for 5sec or so and asks you to register. It doesn't expire either... I'm on "Day 197 of the 21-day evaluation period."
