I have a real downer on Golf's .... James, there's a ton of great 2 seaters, but there aren't a whole lot of 4 seat convertibles that are really worth looking at.

For touring, the Snaab 900s are delightful.

For snazz, I like the new Caddy XLR, but that's $$.

Perhaps a (Toyota) Celica convertible is available out your way; not bad, really.

 

dare I say, the Mustang convertibles aren't bad, but not much back seat room...
