Already??
My mother-in-law is a real load. Part of the reason for driving up separately in my S is to escape from her nonstop yammering. Fortunately, she's not out at night when we do Astronomy, so I get peace and quiet then, too.
Also a good deal Raptor Man...I'm going home with Kel to CT for thanksgiving...I'm supposed to go to visit her parents for dinner the day we get in. Then the holiday...then Kelly and I have our high school reunion....that should be fun...nothing like running into a bunch of pricks you never liked still stuck in their high school hay daze. There is at least one guy i know who should get beaten up in the parking lot.....I'd be willing to throw down money saying that he does....all the reunion really is is an excuse to hangout with my buddies who never manage to get back to Ridgefield ....

It took me a few years to get used to the California Christmas experience after growing up in Colorado - especially those white-flocked Christmas trees standing on the grass next to the palm trees. But the truth is, we very seldom had any snow on the ground at Christmas in Colorado - it was mostly just cold, dry, dead, and brown.
But I've grown used to Cali-style, and am much happier knowing I can drive to the snow whenever I want ... and LEAVE whenever I want!

You guys all have a great Thanksgiving holiday.

I have an 8" Meade LX200 Schmidt Cassegrain with a laptop computer with an advanced object database (over one million objects), and GPS, weather station, dewpoint calculator, and Radio-controlled atomic clock plugged into the computer. It also has many 1 1/4" and 2" eyepieces, filters, solar filters, barlows, Telrad red dot finder, illuminated reticle, keypad-controlled auto/microfocus, Celestron 9x63 astronomical binoculars with solar filters, night vision scope and goggles, and Kendrick 18V 34-hr sealed battery and dew removal system.
The 2' Nagler 31mm Type 5 ultrawide angle eyepiece is my favorite. The damn thing's so heavy it requires almost all my counterweights.
I also have a Celestron C90 scope with solar filters for screwing around and terrestrial stuff.
This has become a serious addiction for me. I think I need to find a 12-step group.

Oh, and there is lots og great stuff in the sky around Thanksgiving -- Jupiter, Saturn, and lots of exquisite deep sky objects, like Andromeda, Pleides. I'll get out the suite of viewing from last year, which I need to do anyway, and zing some things by you on Monday.
