Anything that you can do to start talking to them, but in a subtle way that doesn't make it obvious that you are trying to talk to them ....... just a quite comment to the side if you are sitting near a girl often works ..... a quick funny comment about something someone has just done ..... if they are interested it will be obvious and then you start chatting .... not that I have done this for a fews years you understand ....
