Did you forget to shift, James?

Btw, I think 40 litre is just a little over 10.5 gallons, 3.8L = 1 gallon. So it's closer to 20mpg, which sounds more reasonable.

Sorry Jack .... checking that out I think you are right .... 40l = 10.6 US Gal

So 20.5 mpg .... which I think is pretty good actually .... I am surprised that it was that high !!!!!

Yeah, these Hondas are so damned fuel efficient. :rolleye:

I'm assuming your driving was mostly highway like (as opposed to stop and go) in which case 20mpg is pretty low.

I've only heard about S2000s getting low double digit/single digit mpgs on the race track or in autocrosses (always close to 9krpm, stopping for corners, accelerating into the straights etc etc).

Probably 150km of that was on country roads where the screen of VTEC (without airbox covers) could be heard for a good couple of hours !!!!!!!

I was trying to see how long I could stay in "the rev band" for sections of the drive ..... not doing my ears any good at all

That is why I thought that the mileage was pretty reasonable ...
