The Glendale police came to our house last night. Apparently someone driving a blue S2000 with personalized plates hit an 82 year old woman in a crosswalk on Brand Boulevard yesterday at 12:30 PM and took off. She was hospitalized with multiple injuries and is in critical condition. We were having lunch at Shogun Japanese restaurant at the time (Teppan grill where the chef cooks up the food right at your table). The receipt is at work. The police didn't believe us, even with absolutely no damage to the car, and took George away in handcuffs. I'm going to the restaurant today to get the chef and waitress to testify for us in court. We know a good attorney. This is a case of mistaken identity and the police can't have any real evidence. They were very rude last night. Bail was set at $500,000. George is to be arraigned in court sometime next week. I didn't get any sleep last night. George is miserable in jail. This is terrible!
