The egg hatched. We have a brand new baby pigeon on our porch. I know what you're thinking, just what the world needs, another pigeon. Well, it's fun to watch the life cycle of mama and dad building a nest, mama laying an egg(s), a newborn chick (Did you know that baby pigeons are bright yellow and fuzzy?), mama bringing bugs for baby to eat, baby growing up and flying away.

OK....I guess I can understand the awe of watching nature even if it is a rat.

Yeah, I know pigeons are no great shakes, but it's really fascinating to see them grow, get fed, learn to fly.

Like with our piranhas.....some people think it's gross, but I find it very fascinating.

must be cool.

In med school the geese lay eggs right outside my window and I got to watch the mother and eggs for a couple of weeks. Then one day they disappeared. Don't know if they hatched or some cat came along. I hope they hatched.
