I am!
Can someone give me their opinion on this email about the position?
Lesley,
I agree with you, I think our chemistry is good and that is very, very important to me. I think we would enjoy working with each other and I think we would make an awesome team.
My biggest fear is the workload, particularly from the word processing point of view. As you could see, Bob and Preston are big paper producers and, on any given day, I can be too. In some respects, the job is too big for one person. In fact it has been too big for Jodie since we have been here at B&T (because they frown on overtime here) and she has had to kick a lot of her overflow to Lisa Taylor. I wouldn't want you to get overwhelmed and quit out of frustration, so I think Laura, Bob, Preston and I have some talking to do to try to figure out how to make the position work for whoever takes it. Breaking up the three of us is a possibility we will be forced to conside I'm afraid.
We will figure it out and let you know. I appreciate your interest, your persistence and your enthusiasm. I'm very glad you are here at B&T. We'll get back to you soon.
David

Good morning Mr. Millard,
I just wanted to thank you for your time yesterday afternoon. I really enjoyed our chat.
I thought a lot about the position last night and I am generally feeling very interested in it. I felt that we could definitely have a good working chemistry, I know that I would enjoy the work and stimulation and that I could handle the workload. Obviously an adjustment period would proceed this if, offered the position, but that is merely a stipulation.
Hopefully you will have the opportunity to discuss the matter with your colleagues in the near future. I look forward to hearing from you or Laura.
Cheers,
Lesley

It sounds to me like the want one person to do the job of two or three but with one salary. He has admitted the work-load is too much for one, so why are they still only pursuing one new employee?
Are you happy with your current job?
Are you happy with your current job?
I can say with 99% certainty I don't own one.
If I were to get one, should I ship it south from the factory at 25mph, or head north at 70mph, only to return at 40mph? Where would be the mean point of intersection?
