Did you try opening your file in another computer?

Also, when you said you open Word, do you mean you double clicked the Word program? Or did you double click your document icon?

1. I'm trying that after I'm done running Antivirus..

2. Word program, from the Start Menu, and the Document Icon, all tried, but all failed.

solved, deleted normal.dot and restarted Word, and it worked. Running Word2000. just did the virus definitions 2 weeks ago.

Try deleting normal.dot and restarting Word.
It should work fine.... well that is if you're running Word 2000.

I hope you've done your virus definitions in say.... oh.... the last two weeks.

Please let me know if that helps.
