Apparently my dad has played the trumpet since he was a child. Apparently I am familiar with how hard it is to maintain one's "chops."

Yeah, that's true, NP... I've been superb at maximizing my minimal talent and practice skills.

I played principal for a community orchestra for many years, and there's nothing more nerve-wracking than making some hugely exposed trumpet entrance on zero practice.
