Precautionary, Jack. The 20% RIF was done two weeks ago, and I'm a survivor. Company's results this quarter were reasonable. We're not dying, and my job is temporarily secure.

I just don't know what to do.

For now Charlie, I'd say it doesn't hurt to get a better idea of what's out there, and make your decision based on that. The longest I've been with a company is three years, so I won't pretend to know what it must be like thinking about leaving a company after 15.

I'll add a few things, based on what my dad's told me, but let me get some lunch first.

Apparently I woke up at 4am this morning, re-did my resume and mailed it out to some friends, and now I've been too pooped to actually go into work.
I've done a lot of things at 4am; updating resumes is not one of them.

I recommend the Hokey Pokey.

May not do anything for your job situation, but I guarantee it'll make ya smile!

4:25am is the best time to update your resume. Five minutes after you know what.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 02:50 AM.
