Yup... Again, thanks for the support, guys. Mikey, bolt everything to the wall/floor in the kid's room. Even the low dressers (which my friend's kid died in), can fall when all the drawers are pulled out and the kid climbs up/in.
Will do Chaz..I PROMISE!!!! I already did all the bookcases and CD racks....I need to hit up his room next!

Debs here... OMG! That is probably the worst thing that a parent can go through - the death of their child. Mikey has been very diligent with securing furniture, bookcases, etc to the walls. My thoughts are with you Chaz.

Apparently, I witnessed the worst thing in the world last night. My friends lost their 3 year old girl on Sat. when a chest of drawers crushed her. It was really good to see tons of old friends come out to the calling hours last night in support, but I can't even talk about it.

Seriously, next to war, I think this is the worst thing in the world.
omg... i am so sorry to hear that... that's one of the most horrible things i've ever heard... what a tragedy..

Thanks, Debs. I can only hope I never have this happen to anyone else I know again. It's just too shocking for words.

Y'know, it's funny... Some people raise their kids with no thought toward shit like this, and nothing ever happens to them. Then you have conscientious, wonderful, parents who just get unlucky (in the extreme).

Apparently, life isn't fair.
