Can you explain the pros / cons of a PLATFORM BED vs a reg Mattress/Boxspring option?

GFTrunkie and I bought a new bed a year and change ago, and here's what we know:
1. You don't have to rotate the platform.
2. You do have storage options with a platform - we got some drawers under ours
3. Our platform *looks* like a box spring if you're worried about appearance or matching previous bed decor.
4. Many say the box spring has more comfort, but that's only if you get a standard mattress. GFTrunkie and I bought a split-standard-foam-top mattess, and it has been excellent
. . .and we don't have to turn.

Otherwise, go onto the internets and see what the other folks about.

That said, yours was 2/10: a mere rebuttal.

If you had looked back (then, not now, we're past 3 posts), I said we don't need that thread.
