It was a crappy campus. We hated the blocky buildings. In fact the building in that picture (Crown Hall) is one of the less blocky buildings, and is actually pretty cool.
It's this huge space supported by only two giant columns. Other than that, it's wide open. That's why you see those four fins on the roof, that's for support.
