Flash? Uses less power and doesn't skip if you're running or bumping around in the car.

That would depend.

From Apples point of view, it's not. Factor in the cost of repairing the drive versions under warranty compared to what they would save from not having these claims with a flash version.

But in short Mike is right. To the consumer flash is more $$.

A disadvantage is that flash is generally larger for the same amount of memory. This problem isn't to much of a big deal anymore with 2 and 4 GB appearing.
