Looking at the Google Map, I'm less impressed. I thought the inlet was much smaller. It appears to be a good 1/4 mile wide? Meaning you have probably 300' of deep water to work with. 
The Google map doesn't show the breakers on the far right that you absolutely can not tread near...unless you want to catch the monster stripers in the surf and run aground on rocky shoals at the same time .
