Did you see the St. Pete IndyCar opener Sunday. If not, here's a 12 minute highlight vid:

The cars look and sound very different from last year. Turbos are back, with three engine suppliers. Higher revving and more power. New chassis: biplane front wing, sidepods, bodywork hugging and flush with rear tires, extending past rear tires, to minimize tire contact (which is what killed Dan Wheldon). 100 pound weight reduction, more grip. Faster! I cant wait for Long Beach in 2 1/2 weeks!

they definitely sound different. Can't wait to hear them in person in September (hopefully). I say hopefully, since a new organizer is running the event this year since the original group was run by a bunch of donkeys who shafted alot of people on big bucks.
If all goes well I'm making going Saturday a priority to see the exotics race, plus Sunday of course.
LB has such a wild track.

so I'm a little worried about the Baltimore Grand Prix....the new organizers have not officially started selling tickets or any of the other things that go into the marketing of the race....a little wierd. VEry slow start. Hopefully it all comes together.
According to the Indycar website, it's still on:

Meanwhile, the Long Beach GP is coming up in six days. We're getting excited. The Friday tickets are in their lanyards with the Marina parking placard on the kitchen table.
