I wouldn't say it was rice. It was more street rod than rice. I didn't have any wings or anything. And the car looked like a modern production car. I can't tell you how many times I got asked "when was it coming out" Blew people away that the body was from 1959.

The Subbie lights were something I stumbled onto basically by accident. It wasn't part of the plan, originally. The regular Merc. lights looked too "tacked-on" and kit carish to me.

The Cobra block was something, at the time, I was most familiar with...and already had after the 351C shredded itself. It also happened to weigh a lot less than the original mill... no way with the original block would I have ever gotten to the 200+ mark. No way...
