Reseda is nothing to write home about. I found contamination from a leaking in-ground hydraulic lift. The pastrami on rye at Solley's was excellent, as always. Thanks for asking, 8D.

So, what's the course of action after you find what I assume to be hydraulic fluid in the ground?

Jackhammer out the concrete foundation around the lift, remove the lift with a backhoe, jackhammer out more concrete, perform exploratory excavation until it appears that all impacted soil has been removed, cover the spoils pile with Visqueen plastic sheeting, collect soil samples from the excavation sidewalls and bottom, send the samples to a state-certified analytical laboratory for analysis by EPA Method 418.1 for total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons (TRPH) and by EPA Method 8080 for polychlorinated byphenals (PCBs), repeat the above (if necessary) until all remaining soil is beneath Regional Water Quality Control Board remediation thresholds, transport under manifest and dispose of the lift and soil, backfill the excavation with clean imported fill material, compact, repave, and submit the final report.
