At least you got a bowl in a major metropolitan area. Texas A&M is playing Georgia in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA. Woo hoo.

Shreveport's a nice town. The bowl has a nice payout for a couple of teams that had less than stellar seasons. Where's the downside?

 

Last time I was in Shreveport I wasn't that impressed but hey, maybe I missed seeing the good parts. You are correct about the teams and the payout for despite their lack of excellence. Shreveport is close enough to both fan bases that there should be a pretty good turnout.
