Just hang out and you'll learn a lot of the subtleties. The first post on a page is called the corner. The regulars in the Corner have their page length set to 50 posts per page instead of the forum default of 25. Many people post when they get a corner, but you don't have to and you can also post whenever you want.

As you learn what you're doing around here you may get "yelled" at for something, but don't take it too personally...we kinda tend to get set in our ways from time to time and forget that not all the newbies have been here as long as us...and we forget that we didn't all get it back in the beginning...even for those that CREATED the beginning...
