A string of smilies is an acceptable substitute for a response. I use a similar method at work all the time... rather than saying something, I just sorta move my head around and grunt a few times. Interpretation is up to the person I'm "talking" to.

 

that was my technique the last couple months at my old job.. works wonders..

 

Every so often, it's mistaken for intelligent thought, too!

 

you know you;re absolutely right! when i'm talking to someone and i wanna pretend i know exactly what they're takling about.. i use the exact same technique!

 

I switch on bobblehead mode... works well!

 

Well glad I have sunk back to the level I really merit. Can I sink farther if I tell you I'm a Yankee fan as well.

 

BTW, if you saw the Raider hotties at the game on Saturday, you might change your mind.
