I've been on all the Classic Car Sites lately looking and just comparing and came across a couple OlSkool NSX's I still like those as well

One of the Palm Springs ones has a 2000 S like yours and they have it at $24K

You probably don't want to look at used cars right now

Clean NSXs are going for low 6 figures. Everything is dumb. Cars that sold for $50k 3 years ago are now fetching $70-80k, despite having more miles and being older.

People on the Corvette Forum are taking delivery of new C8s they ordered through Chevy dealers a year+ ago and turning around any selling them for a $40-$50K markup. It's insane.

Greed is becoming rampant in this current world we are living in.

A friend of mine had an Aston Martin DB9 (earlier version) and said he wouldn't likely sell; just assuming he'd drive it until he passed the hunk of junk onto someone else. However, the market was so hot, he said, "Nobody will buy it at $$,$$$. . . " . . . then somebody made the offer.
I suspect a lot of C8 buyers are finding out how much their appreciation is worth. . .
. . . which will no doubt jack up dealer prices on the C8-Z06/ZR1/Hybrid/Zora

Greed isn't new, it's just that there are more people chucking more money at used cars.

Which is even more insane. I get that a lot of people have the (original) NSX, F355, and the like on their bucket list, so throwing money at them isn't the worst thing... but spending $50K over MSRP on a C8 that's *still in production* is insane. Wait a year and get one at MSRP!

Or longer. There's another problem with C8s. Corvette can't make them fast enough. This was compounded by the UAW strike, Covid, and unscheduled production delays. Right now Chevy dealers are selling them faster than the Bowling Green factory can crank them out, so the problem with backup is only getting worse. with the comments that greed is getting worse!
