If you're really serious about doing this, and you're fearful of holding an open blade to the boys 
, please check into the Seiko "Cleancut" [model ES-412].
It's an electric shaver specifically made for this purpose and has an excellent track record. A microfine shaving head makes this an excellent choice if you tend to mow your balls while wasted or drunk. Parkinson's approved. Around 40 bucks, but sometimes difficult to find in regular stores.
