I like those that I did understand.

(Being a Buddhist, there were some that I didn't quite get )

New addition to the old site.

I'm trying to lure magicians--obviously--as well as anyone else who likes magic. Feel free to spread the word. Thanks!

Cool. Will do Bill.

Jack - I had no idea you are buddhist. Were you raised into that religion?

I was raised buddhist, though I'm not particularly religious.

I was raised in Malaysia, where there's a pretty large buddhist population (roughly 30% of the population maybe?). My grand parents were buddhist and my parents were buddhist so that's what I became . My family isn't really religious either, though we do carry out most of the buddhist rituals during the major celebrations.

How long did you live there before coming to the states?

I was raised Lutheran Christian, but am now agnostic.

A Christian should have only one spouse. This is called monotony.

Who said kids weren't capable of intelligent thoughts?

Well, I was born in Mauritius because my dad was there for work. I was there for four years. Don't really remember anything about that place.

Then I went back to Malaysia, and I was there for 16 years (I spent 6 months in California when I was in first grade, but that doesn't really count ).

Then I came here for college and ended up getting a job here too. I've been here about 4 years now.

That's my life story very much summarized. Based on my understanding of the original Buddhism (which is a very philosophical religion), the Buddhism we practise is quite distorted. What we did was more an almagamation of Buddism, Taoism and the various Chinese religions/superstitions.
