I'd tow both with a F-350, or Clydesdales.

We loaded two dogs, two telescopes, and all our stuff in the SUV. We did serious Astronomy at night and tore up the mountain in the S by day. We do this every summer (except last summer.) We ended up staying eight nights. A fire west of the lake forced us to take an alternate route. Went up the mountain in a downpour, with many rockslides blocking the road. Lots of cars pulled off the side of the road with flat tires. The S kept bottoming out on huge rocks. I thought I was going to lose my oilpan. Two days of thundershowers, then perfect weather the rest of the trip, high 70s. Pics up soon.
