BigBird's New "Mod"
No fair no fair. One real bad thing about California is that any of the front 3 windows are only allowed to be done at 20% I did 80% on the hardtop glass. And I was only able to do 20% on the side glass.
The legal limit in Utah is 43% on the front sides, but they don't make 43%, so basically 50% is what you can do. The front windshield can only have a bar on top that is 20%, and the back sides, and back windshield can be as dark as you want. They are really strict about tint here. They slowed down on giving people tickets, and have cracked down on the shops by taking in undercover Eclipses and Civics and getting illegal tint on it, and then busting the shops. So, no one will give you illegal tint anymore...I tried.
Utah is a big drug trafficking state. All along I-15 it is a drug highway, so they think tinted windows means drug cartels. It used to be MUCH more strict. It used to be about 80% in the front, no tint at all on the front windsheild and 20% on the back.
