I found one in the north side of the city that I like. I'm going to see it a second time tomorrow, and put in an offer for it very soon after.

 

James,
After three years I decided to stop renting and buy my own place. I'm going to use the money I've been saving up for the S2000 as downpayment. And I'll have to start building up my S2000 fund all over again.

I'm quite excited about it though.

Not a bad idea I don't think .... I wish I had bought a place a few years ago , I am just having to wait for the UK property prices to fall again now .....

 

Thanks, James. In all honesty, I think property prices in Chicago are still pretty high right now. But I still think I'm better off owning than renting.

 

I am sure you are right Jack. UK is sooooo over priced I think that it must fall soon, though I don't hear the same about the US market ..... also, I would be looking at a place around the outskirts of London, which is without doubt the most over priced area in the country !!!!

Well, looks like the snow gods have become the rain dancers. I think we're scratching skiing tomorrow, so I drove down to Tacoma for nothing...
