rain doesn't freeze homie

 

The temp here in the N bay Area just dropped to 27 degree's.

 

Sure it does. When upper atmosphere temps are above freezing. BUT the lower atmosphere temps are below freezing. The moisture falls as rain but freezes almost instantly once it lands.

In severe conditions it's called an ice-storm. It's pretty wild to drive in as you may not realize at first that the roads are icy because it's 'raining'. But you might notice the cars around you have ice building up on them the way it does on an airplane wing.... and large horizontal icicles trailing behind them. Can be scary... but pretty
