The Corner House of Whores and Monkeys. Enter for Fun & Shenanigans! We're weird here. In the most awesome way possible.

Can someone kindly explain this to me?

I bet it sounds great too!

Yachts are great, we had a 25' yacht when I was much younger, we used to be able to sleep all 6 of us on board and would spend 1-2 weeks a year sailing around the lakes and the bay in summer.
There are some beautiful yachts around these days.

I think the boat urge comes from peoples' youths. I don't really have "the bug" and to me owning a boat would be a serious bother.

Buuuuuut, being out there on the water is a great feeling.

The big dissadvantage is maintaining the thing. Ours would sit there all winter and become home to a whole heap of spiders.

Us boys would all be paranoid the first time we had it out in summer.

Exactly right on the maintenance. You either need a lot of time or a lot of cash.

A bunch of strapping sons helps too
