I would tend to agree with Billy on this one. Clinton made a huge mistake and compounded it by lying. The only reason I don't care is that I don't think we should have been asking him that question in the first place.
I strongly resent the 10s of millions of taxpayer money that was spent chasing after Clinton's infidelities because they couldn't hang Whitewater on him...
At the end of the day, I am totally convinced that Clinton's human failing did not in any meaningful way impair him from doing the job other than the fact that he lost focus on the job while having to face the charges in the first place.
The reason this frustrates me is so much is that the witch hunt against Clinton is what I see as having started the extreme partisan bickering that we have in government today.
The GOP went after Clinton. Compound that with the questionable results of the 2000 election and the Democrats shut out the GOP on anything they brought before Congress. This forced the GOP hand and they decided that, with a Republican President and a Republican majority on the Hill, that they would just roll right over the Democrats.
This needs to stop!
