My bad, I saw it written some where else and figured it was correct... Did you find any pics?
After much searching, I have found what we're not really looking for:
Culotte: A woman's full trousers cut to resemble a skirt. Often used in the plural.

Not surprisingly, this appears to be a French invention. Surprisingly, the french consider hockey pants to be culottes. Have I ever mentioned that I don't like the french?
